I did a poster about my OCR research, which I talk about in my portfolio. Through it, I developed a network of tribes interested in my research and am in continuous communication with them, helping them build custom OCR models.

Here, I gave a talk about our team’s work on behalf of the Advancing Inidigenous Language Technology team. We discussed data soveirngty, how current language technologies aren’t built with Indigenous communities, and what we’re doing to change that.
